“Fine” Art Podcast

I started “Fine” Art Podcast to be serious about art, but accessible for non-artists, and not presented as a lecture to the listener. I seek to have honest conversations with artists about their work, process and life. To keep the conversation from devolving into a feedback loop of art theory, I invite a friend who is a non-artist to join in the conversation. I call that friend “The Bridge to Outside of The Art World” (as coined by such a friend). I think there are many people who have not studied art that feel that art is just that…on some other planet that they are unable to access. While I don’t think art always needs to be accessible or understood, I personally like to make art that allows non-artists to approach it even if they don’t understand the underlying theory or references.

I’ve heard this project described by others as a virtual studio visit. I think that’s a solid comparison.
